How to ACTUALLY Achieve Your Goals in 2026
People like Codie provide actually useful advice on starting a business. Now she mentions setting dates, like setting a date to quit your job. It may pay (or may not) to be a little cautious there. On one hand, entrepreneurs are the risk-takers. On the other hand, falling on your face and being set back for 3+ years because you weren’t ready… is not good. So, in general, I would advise ruthlessly finding the time to develop your business while you’re still employed, and only quit when your profits are looking good, your client/customer list is getting lengthy, and it would be insane not to quit your day job. I myself have made the extremely expensive mistake of quitting too soon. Being in business for yourself is almost nothing like being employed. When you’re on your own, nobody cares (unless you’re lucky), you get no regular paycheck, clients/customers will find any excuse not to pay you as agreed. Sometimes you may even feel like family and “friends” are all against you and wanting you to fail (surely some of them secretly do). Keep going. Be determined. Be bold, but be cautious where you strategically need to be.
